Seeding Health, Happiness and Hope in the lives of Children and Families, one home at a time
Hands of Healing Residential Treatment Center Inc. was founded in 2007 by 4 individuals who had years of experience in the social service arene, both personally and professionally. Our primary goal was to establish a model where the care of the Children and Families served would be the primary focus of all that they would do. We provide residential services to Foster Children who are often difficult to place. We also recruit and certify foster homes and provide placement services to Foster Children who are in the Texas State Foster Care System.
Over the last 16 years, we have maintained our focus on being a beacon of hope and light to the Children and Families that we serve, providing love, support and exemplary services. We have achieved this by creating normalcy for our residents with cultural activities, social engagement, and many other tools. This has remained our focus in how we operate as an organization, and we do this by consistently by applying our core values in everything that we do, which are: I- Integrity, C- Compassion, A- Accountability, R- Respect, and E- Excellence and Equity. This equal= I CARE, and we do CARE. We care about the children in dire need of our services. We care about the families that we partner with, who are so special to share their lives and homes with children in need. And... We care about the impact that we have on the future, by simply making the difference in the life of a child, as we recognize that all that it takes is a seed of hope to change a child's life.
Our Mission
Our mission is to deposit seeds of balanced mental health, happiness and hope into the hearts and minds of Youth and Families, by creating a nurturing, supportive and structured environment that will instill in them tools, principles and values that will empower them to become productive members of society and fulfill their purpose and destiny.
