Wee Rescue is a 100% volunteer-led organization dedicated to rescuing Havanese, Lhasa Apsos, Pekingese, Shih Tzus and other small breeds/mixes from Central Texas shelters. Our mission is to place homeless dogs into safe, loving, permanent homes in the Austin area.
Our Mission
Wee Rescue is a 501(c)3, all-volunteer organization committed to rescuing small dogs like Havanese, Lhasa Apsos, Pekingese, Shih Tzus, and other small breeds/mixes regardless of age or medical condition from the Austin Animal Center and other shelters and facilities in the Austin area. All rescued dogs live with volunteer foster parents until they are adopted.
Our mission is to place homeless small dogs into local, loving, permanent homes in the Central Texas area.
