Steven’s infectious smile and sense of humor light up any room, while his strength and determination inspire everyone around him. Before moving into a BAMSI home, Steven lived in a nursing home under hospice care. Describing him as goal-oriented would be an understatement—he has made it his mission to regain his independence, rejoin the community, and find ways to inspire and give back to others. An active volunteer with BAMSI and various other organizations, Steven has also returned to his former residence to speak with others about the importance of community engagement and advocating for their own independence.
