ABOUT HEROES TO HEROES BEAT THE BOREDOM AND SAVE LIVES, FITNESS AND CHORE CHALLENGE CAMPAIGN
Let's band together to help save the lives of our veterans! We encourage you to walk, run, do yoga, pilates, cross-fit, clean the house, or whatever it is that gets you moving while social distancing. Our goal is to race around the 7,500 miles of the USA, the approximate 6,000 miles to Israel, and on to the 290 miles of Israel. The Race for points takes place on Saturday, May 16th or Sunday, May 17th. You choose the day!

Reaching our collective goal of 82,740 represents the number of Heroes to Heroes teams traveling each year on their lifesaving journey. Be, instrumental in saving a life while protecting your own. Get points for doing everyday activities. Take a mile for vacuuming, cleaning a bathroom, or cooking a meal. As long as you're moving, learning, and safe, you deserve the miles.

Encourage as many people as possible to join this effort to stay in shape (minds and bodies), friend raise and fundraise. Form teams of 10 friends to compete for special prizes based on miles covered and fundraising.

What is the date of the race? Either, Saturday, May 16th or Sunday, May 17th. YOU DECIDE!

What does it cost to participate? Race entry is $20 per person. Every individual raising $100 or more will receive a Heroes to Heroes Challenge Coin, showing that you are a friend of the organization and our veterans.



How do I sign up for a team?
Anyone can add a team name or you can join another team. Team names will be added and teams will be filled as they are formed.

How do I track fitness , household chores, and miscellaneous activities other than walking, running, or biking?
We encourage anything that keeps you active and/or moving in the right direction as we quarantine. Here is a chart to equate mileage with time spent on various activities:

HOW YOUR PARTICIPATION HELPS
Funds raised by this race will be used directly to send our veterans on the Heroes to Heroes lifesaving journey to the Holyland and work with them for one year post-program. Our goal is to have five veterans (cost of $10,000 per veteran) go through the program late summer 2020.

What is the campaign registration fee?

Campaign registration fee is the amount that you'll need to pay to enroll in this virtual race. This fee (less transaction charges) will go to the non-profit running this campaign as a donation.

The registration fee along with the funds raised through your individual fundraising page will enable the non-profit to fund various programs and pursue their organization's mission.

How can I create my fundraising page?

Well, you wouldn't have to create a separate fundraising page. Once you register for this campaign, we'll give you the link to your fundraising page.

How will I track my distance?

You can track your workouts by setting up your devices (Fitbit, Garmin, Apple Watch, Health Connect By Android, Misfit, Strava), or download the Charity Footprints' iOS or Android app and track your workouts toward this campaign. ?>

How do I join a team on this campaign?

While registering for the campaign, select the team you'd like to join or create a new team and invite others to #GetFitGiveBack with you. I am an international donor (non-US), what are my donation charges and tax-deductibility?

All donations are made in US dollars, so the donations may be levied an exchange rate fee via your bank. Donors will want to connect with their bank to determine exactly what that fee may be. Additionally, international donors will need to reach out to a tax professional to discuss if and how tax deductibility will apply to their donation.

Who can sponsor my fundraising efforts?

The short answer is - everyone. The fundraising research shows that the number one reason for people not donating is that they weren't asked to.

That said, there are things you can do to attract people to sponsor you. Adding a picture to your fundraising page, telling potential donors why this cause is so personal to you, sharing your fundraising page on social media, email, and chat groups.

Last, if your employer has a gift matching program, check with the human resources department to support your favorite cause as well.
