Pathways Founding Story
Since our inception in 1977, Pathways has always remained true to the vision of our founders. Our organization was established by a group of Stanford physicians and community members, who were dedicated to addressing the need for healthcare at home. This in-home care gave terminally ill patients the option to stay at home through the conclusion of their lives. Through the years, our mission has expanded and our organization enlarged, and we now serve hundreds of patients and families across 5 Bay Area Counties each day.
