Founded in 2021 The Exodus group has been dedicated to assisting people who have been forced out of their families due to religion & beliefs. Our work empowers individuals transitioning from high-control religions to reclaim their autonomy, rebuild their lives, and thrive in a supportive community of
understanding and resilience. Our mission is to provide minoritized compassionate support, resources, and community for individuals navigating the transition out of high-control religions, fostering empowerment, healing, and personal growth.
Angie BE grew up as the daughter of a leader within a high-control religion, an environment that profoundly shaped her early life. After being forced out in 2001, she continued to struggle with the psychological effects until 2015, when she began her true healing journey. Drawing from her personal experiences of overcoming physical, psychological, and emotional binds, Angela founded the Exodus Group, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to providing a safe and supportive space for women and children escaping high-control religions and abusive situations.
Through her work, Angela is committed to helping others align with their authentic selves and live fulfilled, thriving lives. She offers a compassionate and understanding presence, using her own journey of transformation to guide and inspire those she serves. Under her leadership, the Exodus Group empowers individuals to rebuild their lives, offering hope, healing, and a soft
place to land.
