My Appeal
The #22for22Challenge is a movement that will bring hope to those who need it most and will change lives. It is a community of support that is working together to bring an end to the epidemic of veteran suicide. I will be walking or hiking a mile or more a day for 22 days from October 21st to November 11th. I’ve been asked to be a part of this community by The Mighty Oaks Foundation. I am a Veteran with PTSD who has attended The Mighty Oaks Warriors Program that helps Military and First Responders with PTSD and help their spouses as well. MOWP is an impactful program and helped me tremendously. Although, I have never been one to struggle with the idea of suicide. I've lost those that have struggled with the battle and known those who have or are still fighting it. We are all capable of spreading awareness as well as doing our best to be a part of a solution. Mental health is important and matters. We as a community have to Keep on Keepin on.

The Mission: Our mission is To serve and restore the Military and First Responders communities who have endured hardship in their service by connecting them to a new life purpose in Christ using resiliency and recovery programs.
About the Organization: The Mighty Oaks Foundation is committed to serving Warriors in need around the globe through intensive peer-based discipleship programs, outpost meetings, speaking, and resiliency events. We have programs for Men, Women, and Married Couples at multiple locations nationwide and globally. Those who attend our programs are fully sponsored, to include meals, lodging and travel, ensuring their sole focus is on resiliency, recovery and identifying purpose as they move forward.
