ABOUT WALK FOR WOMEN’S VASCULAR HEALTH CAMPAIGN
Join the movement dedicated to women’s vascular health! The Walk for Women’s Vascular Health is a free virtual challenge that encourages you to increase your step count, raise awareness of the benefits of walking, and empower women with life-saving knowledge. - Walk 31 miles in 31 days (March 1-31): at your own pace, wherever you are.

Why It Matters Vascular disease is more common than you might think. Up to 40 million Americans are living with one. Yet, 1 in 3 people have never heard of common vascular conditions like peripheral artery disease (PAD), carotid artery disease (CAD), and abdominal aortic aneurysms (AAA). These conditions can lead to heart attack, stroke, amputation, or even death if left untreated. Women face unique risks: - Vascular disease in women is often underdiagnosed. Symptoms can present differently than in men, leading to delayed diagnosis and treatment.
- Women over 60 are at the highest risk for conditions like PAD, CAD, and AAA.
- Pregnancy increases the risk of blood clots by 5x, which can lead to life threatening complications.
