75 Hard Challenge
It’s a new year and you want to take charge of your health goals! We have a great challenge in 2025 that can help you stay on target for the first couple of months of the year. It’s a 75 Day Challenge! 75 Hard was developed as a transformative mental toughness program to help people on their journey to a healthier lifestyle.
Many people struggle to follow the rigid rules of 75 hard but still want to commit to a program that can change their life in 75 days, which led to the development of 75 Medium and Soft. If you’d like to commit to the challenge and feel great at the end of 75 days without feeling like there are zero compromises and minimal flexibility, these options may be right for you.
Adding any healthy habit to your life for 75 days straight is going to have a positive impact on your life. What matters most is if those results can be sustained. So, we decided to offer a challenge where we offer all three levels for your comfort zone with the same 75-day commitment. Emphasize your physical health and mental wellness using charity footprints to help you track your process and have the support of the HGF Community.
You don’t need to be perfect to achieve a healthier lifestyle. When the 75 days are over, you will have the tools to make the new habits a permanent part of your life. Your goal is to complete this challenge with more confidence, self-esteem, discipline and overall Self-awareness.
Rules of the 75 Day Challenge
- 75 Day Challenge participants must do the following every day, according to the level program that you select. Please choose from the following levels for 75 days of hard, medium or soft rules based on your comfort level and level of commitment.
- Follow a diet or healthy food lifestyle. While it can be a diet of your choosing, the diet must be a structured eating plan with the goal of physical improvement. No alcohol or meals outside your chosen diet are allowed.
- Complete 45-minute workouts based on the selected plan.
- Document your progress through a photo and/or wellness journal.
- Drink at least 1 gallon of water a day.
- Read 10 pages of a book.
Once you have committed to a program level no alterations to the program are allowed. If you miss any of your daily goals, your progress resets to day one.
75 Hard Challenge Rules
- Complete two 45-minute workouts per day (one must be outdoors).
- Stick to a diet for 75 days (No alcohol).
- Drink a gallon of water daily.
- Read 10 pages of a book per day of a non-fiction book.
- Take a progress picture every day.
- If you skip a day, you must start over at day one.
75 Medium Challenge Rules
- Eat well, prioritizing fruits and vegetables and balancing carbs with protein and fat. Limit alcohol consumption to once weekly or socially.
- Exercise 6 days a week, alternating weight training 3 times per week with 45 minutes of cardio 3 times per week, with 1 day of active recovery.
- Drink 120 ounces of water everyday.
- Replace screen time with reading before bed. Complete a mindful journal entry nightly. Complete 8 hours of sleep.
- Read 10 pages of a non-fiction book daily.
- Take a progress photo on Day 1 and Day 75.
75 Soft Challenge Rules
- Eat well and only drink alcohol on social occasion.
- Train for 45 minutes every day with one day of active recovery per week.
- Drink three liters of water per day.
- Read 10 pages of any book daily.
