Richness of Igbo Culture is vast, with Decades of History and Infinite LOVE! The People, Food, Faith, The Music and Dance, Fabric and Accessories … Participate, Feel It - EXPERIENCE Igbo Culture! We’re Walking to Raise Funds to support our various community service efforts, like children, women and families. One of our focuses this year to addressing homelessness and offering academic scholarships. We also provide resources to women and families recently arriving from Nigeria and other areas of Africa, assisting with acclimation to Southern, California. We’re Walking for Health. There are so many Mental Health and Physical Health Benefits from Walking.- Lowering Blood Pressure- Decreasing Stress- Regulating Blood Sugar to stabilize/improve Diabetes- Improved Sleep/Wake Cycle- Improved Blood Circulation- Supporting Muscle Tone for Healthy Aging- Emotional Regulation- Decreased Symptoms of Anxiety & Depression- And So Much MORE! PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES
You can participate in this challenge by doing pretty much anything that elevates your heart rate. This includes walking, running, cycling or any of your favorite fitness activities!
