We all know India is going through an unprecedented crisis with Covid. Do you want to improve your fitness while helping the underpriveleged and needy people in India who are suffering from Covid crisis? Do you want to have fun walking/running/playing sports with your friends? Do you want to appeal to your friends and raise funds for a wonderful cause that would help Indians come out of this?
 
If your answer is yes to any of the questions, then you have a great opportunity to make it happen for real- stay fit and help for a great cause at the same time. EArtH foundation is organizing a virtual fitness challenge called EArtH RUN Against Covid Challenge to raise raise funds and fight against Covid in India, and help motivate participants to be more fit at the same time. EArtH Foundation is a non-profit organizations that focuses of Education, Art and Health, and has already created a positive impact on the lives of more than 3,000 children in 18 villages. In this crisis, we understand that helping every Covid impacted family in these villages by providing basic supplies and services such as Oxygen Concentrators, Oxymeters, Filling Prescriptions, Groceries, Emotional Support, Awareness Camps, etc. will help us with our mission in the long term. EArtH foundation helped Covid-impacted families in 2020 on a small scale as you can see in these pictures but we are doing it on a bigger scale this year. Covid related help has already started in these villages. We bought four oxygen concentrators, masks, sanitizers and necessary food items. All the funds raised by this campaign will go towards these efforts. You can help achieve our mission simply by registering (with as little as $20) to "EArtH's RUN challenge" and help us raise enough funds. Top three participants and top three fundraisers will get Amazon gift cards ($100 each) as a token of appreciation. Top ten participants will get a trophy and a t-shirt, and every participant will get a digital participation certificate. Everyone is welcome to join and help us. Participation in simple steps:
1. Before May 22nd - register for the campaign with as generous a donation as you can ($20 minimum to raise enough funds). Pick your goals when you register. Please consider donating more than the minimum required to help India fight against Covid. Any extra donation will go a long way and adds to own fund raising goal.
2. Follow the setup instructions for tracking your miles on apple/android/fitbit devices.
3. May 22nd to June 6th - Enjoy walking/running/playing and track your miles on the personal fund raiser sent to you by email. For Apple and Android devices, you may need to open the app in order to sync the data. If you enter manually, we would need to validate. You can email the screenshot to events@earthindia.org
4. Appeal to your friends sharing your personal fundraising page on social media.
5. Win the prizes and be proud of contributing for a good cause.
 

Prizes
You can win prizes in two different ways:
1. Top three participants (top miles) will get a $100 Amazon gift cards each.
2. Top three fundraisers (with a minimum of $300 raised) will get $100 Amazon gift cards each.
3. Top ten participants will get a trophy mailed to your address.


 

How did EArtH help with Covid relief so far?
EArtH spent about $7300 so far on the below material and services
1. Five Oxygen Concentrators - $5500
2. Established Covid help centers in a few villages - $500
3. Hired local health experts in these villages - $500
4. 3000 Masks - $800.
5. Oxymeters, Masks, Sanitizers, PPEs, Face Shields donated by a medical distributor.

Underprivileged villages are hit harder during 2nd wave of COVID and struggling more than urban areas, because these villages don't have access to hospitals, doctors, medical facilities, transportation, and very less awareness. EArtH is serving it's adopted villages (18 villages, 3000+ families) in both prevention and affected with COVID. We are supplying with essentials like Oxygen Concentrators, Oximeters, Food/Groceries, Emotional support, Medicines, COVID Centers, and Awareness Camps so Covid patients who cannot afford or sustain can come out of this crisis safely. Please donate what you can to help these villages come out of this unprecedented crisis.

Donations to EArtH are tax-deductible. Funds raised by this campaign will be fully utilized to help all the Covid impacted families in EArtH villages in India. We want to help families come out of Covid crisis and help prevent other families from getting it. We want everyone to be healthy first and then improve on education. This effort will help EArtH foundation achieve its original mission of Education, Arts, and Health.

Campaign registration fee is the amount that you'll need to pay to enroll in this virtual race. This fee (less transaction charges) will go to the non-profit running this campaign as a donation.

How can I create my fundraising page?

Well, you wouldn't have to create a separate fundraising page. Once you register for this campaign, we'll give you the link to your fundraising page.

How will I track my distance?

You can track your workouts by setting up your devices (Fitbit, Garmin, Apple Watch, Health Connect By Android, Misfit, Strava), or download the Charity Footprints' iOS or Android app and track your workouts toward this campaign. ?>

How do I join a team on this campaign?

I am an international donor (non-US), what are my donation charges and tax-deductibility?

All donations are made in US dollars, so the donations may be levied an exchange rate fee via your bank. Donors will want to connect with their bank to determine exactly what that fee may be. Additionally, international donors will need to reach out to a tax professional to discuss if and how tax deductibility will apply to their donation.

Who can sponsor my fundraising efforts?

The short answer is - everyone. The fundraising research shows that the number one reason for people not donating is that they weren't asked to.

That said, there are things you can do to attract people to sponsor you. Adding a picture to your fundraising page, telling potential donors why this cause is so personal to you, sharing your fundraising page on social media, email, and chat groups.

Last, if your employer has a gift matching program, check with the human resources department to support your favorite cause as well.
