ABOUT #ROTARYSTEPSTOGETHER CAMPAIGN
About the #RotaryStepsTogether Campaign Are you wondering how your Rotary Club can raise funds for your Club service projects and the Rotary Foundation during these social-distancing times? We have an answer to that: let’s go virtual! This is a great opportunity to work together while staying 6 feet apart! Join us for a great stay at home personal fundraiser with #RotaryStepsTogether. Beginning September 15 and lasting through November 15, we can collectively take on the “quarantine 15 pounder” with a fitness fundraiser suited to any fitness and ability level. This is a virtual fundraising opportunity for Rotary members to step together in whatever exercise method you are passionate about. Friends, family and other club members pledge online in support of your efforts measured in miles. DG Cindi O’Neil is committing to walk 100 miles in 8 weeks and is hoping that friends and family will pledge one dollar-a-mile to go towards raising funds for the Annual Fund, the fund that powers our local and international service projects. Has your club experienced a fundraising challenge for club projects with the cancellation of all events? The funds you raise may be directed to your club to support your community projects, foundation scholarships, and club cash for Global Grants. The key is to understand that you will be able to raise funds from outside your Rotary Club, not from your fellow members. Tired of buying auction items and then buying them back to raise funds for your Club? We are too! This virtual fundraiser can also help your Club exceed it’s goals for The Rotary Foundation and PolioPlus! As we approach “Steptember and Walktober”, you can walk, run, hike, golf, swim, dance, row, box, CrossFit or rake leaves and vacuum your way to those TRF goals! As long as you can move, you can #RotaryStepsTogether. Individuals who raise $250 or morewill receive a fantastic water bottle! Invite your friends and family to sign up, fundraise, and compete!
