ABOUT THE ORGANIZATION
There’s No Such Thing as a One-Person Peloton
In 2023, Travis Scott lost his cousin Brent Warnecke, who had been more like a brother. Brent was a role model, protector, and family connector, generously giving his time and resources to bring people together. Known for his philanthropic heart, particularly in supporting children’s causes, Brent also had a deep love for cycling. In 2024, Travis purchased Brent’s road bike at a fundraiser for The Brent Warnecke Scholarship Foundation—a moment that gave him newfound purpose amid his recent struggles with mental health and the profound loss of his cousin.
Inspired, Travis partnered with his family to launch Cycling On Purpose, an organization dedicated to fostering purposeful lives for young people. Travis plans to honor Brent by embarking on the Tour de Brewar, a cross-country ride from Washington to Indiana on Brent’s bike. Cycling On Purpose aims to support mental health advocacy, responsible device usage, and real-life community connections, guided by the values Brent lived by. With community support, Cycling On Purpose will continue to grow, driven by its mission to inspire and connect young people in meaningful ways.
