ABOUT THE ORGANIZATION
Every person is empowered with the right to be safe and free from domestic and sexual abuse.
ESCADV is a 501(c)3 that provides services to survivors of domestic and sexual assault on Virginia's Eastern Shore. Services include a 24/7/365 confidential hotline, advocacy, shelter, court accompaniment, hospital accompaniment, children's services and services for the immigrant population impacted by domestic violence and sexual assault on the shore.
At ESCADV we understand that the decision to leave an abusive relationship or to report sexual assault can be a very difficult one. To assist survivors in making the transition to healing, ESCADV is provides, with the support of community, services beyond just shelter and advocacy. ESCADV advocates are able to assist survivors in locating permanent housing, obtaining necessary documents, and finding transportation for appointments and court.
Through the 24 hour confidential hotline, ESCADV advocates provides support and safety planning for survivors reaching out for information and support as well those in imminent danger that need emergency shelter and/or services. The hotline provides a critical lifeline for survivors and the community.

The mission of ESCADV is to provide support and empowerment to victims of domestic and sexual abuse and to provide programs that increase awareness and prevention in the community.
