ABOUT THE ORGANIZATION

Building strength, stability, and self-reliance through shelter.

Women Build participants represent a diverse cross-section of the Metro Atlanta and North Central Georgia business and civic community. While we’ve come together for the shared purpose of providing a safe and affordable place for parents to raise their children, this initiative also provides an opportunity to empower, develop, and expand the skills of women across our community! Habitat for Humanity-North Central Georgia, a nonprofit Christian housing ministry, is an independently run and operated affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International covering North Metro Atlanta. Habitat for Humanity-North Central Georgia addresses the need of decent, affordable housing for low-to-moderate income underserved families in Cherokee, Forsyth, North Fulton and Dawson Counties. Habitat -NCG has built over 320 new homes and repaired 90 non-Habitat homes serving more than 1400 individuals through our Homebuyer and Home Repair Programs. We look forward to providing even more families strength, stability, and self-reliance through shelter for years to come! All are welcome Habitat for Humanity-North Central Georgia has an open-door policy: All who believe that everyone needs a decent, affordable place to live are welcome to help with the work, regardless of race, religion, age, gender, political views or any of the other distinctions that too often divide people. In short, Habitat welcomes volunteers and supporters from all backgrounds and also serves people in need of decent housing regardless of race, religion, or creed. Habitat-NCG is an equal housing lender.
