Education is Everyone's Business...Our Public Schools Need Your Support!
Since 1989, the Simi Valley Education Foundation has provided more than $2 million in resources for our public schools. The Simi Valley Education Foundation provides grants to teachers and scholarships to graduating high school seniors in order to:
• Enhance the learning process by supporting programs that include vocational and technical education, fine arts, and programs that promote career awareness
• Promote and enhance educational excellence by providing independent funding that would not typically be covered by the school budget for worthy educational projects, enrichment programs, and other educational initiatives beyond the standard curriculum
• Foster a culture of excellence in the Simi Valley public schools by inspiring students and supporting teachers with innovative learning opportunities
• Enrich the public-school curriculum with programs and activities that expose students to diverse learning experiences, and challenge students to reach well beyond their current abilities
• Provide scholarships to graduating high school students to further their education at either a college or university or through vocational training programs.
• Offer members of the Simi Valley community a channel to contribute to education and strengthen the future of the city.
• Achieve educational excellence through building a coalition of community, public agencies and private enterprise.
Our Mission
The mission of the Simi Valley Education Foundation is to enhance educational opportunities and foster a culture of excellence in the Simi Valley public schools by inspiring students and supporting teachers with innovative learning opportunities; supporting curriculum enhancement activities and programs; providing student scholarships; and sustaining district-wide opportunities for educational excellence for all children in Simi Valley.
