ABOUT THE ORGANIZATION
Helping Children Persevere
The Foster Care Council is committed to improving the quality of life of the foster care children in Kentucky. There are over 9,500 children in the Kentucky foster care system that have been removed from their homes due to abuse, neglect, or abandonment. We strive to provide assistance for as many children as possible that enter into the foster care system. Our programs aid in helping these children lead as normal of a life as possible with a goal of becoming successful adults. The Foster Care Council provides funding for individualized tutoring, clothing, summer camps, and enrichment activities. These programs are geared to help these children be successful in school and find talents that would normally go undiscovered, while increasing their confidence and self-esteem.
Our Mission
Our mission is to provide funding for individualized tutoring, clothing, summer camp, and other enrichment activities for Kentucky's foster children.
