ABOUT THE ORGANIZATION
rescuing, rehabilitating, and rehoming horses
Well Trained Horses, a North Bay Area 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, is dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating, and rehoming horses, while offering low cost education to many. These horses have faced neglect, abuse, abandonment or were being sent to slaughter in Mexico. We provide a sanctuary setting for horses and people who wish to become part of our rescue community.
Our Mission
To rescue, rehabilitate and re-home discarded horses, work to eliminate equine transport across US borders for the purpose of slaughter, and include people at risk in our rescue programs helping them to build confidence, compassion, career and life skills.
