ABOUT THE ORGANIZATION
There’s No Such Thing as a One-Person Peloton
In 2023, Travis Scott's cousin, Brent Warnecke, unexpectedly passed away from a heart condition. Brent was like an older brother to Travis and generously giving his time and resources to bring family and friends together. Known for his philanthropic heart, particularly in supporting children’s causes, Brent also had a deep love for cycling. In 2024, Travis purchased Brent’s road bike at a fundraiser for The Brent Warnecke Scholarship Foundation and this moment inspired him to do something meaningful and gave him newfound purpose; especially given his recent struggles with mental health after the profound loss of his cousin among other things.
As a result, Travis launched a nonprofit called Cycling On Purpose. This organization is dedicated to fostering purposeful lives for young people. Travis plans to honor Brent by embarking on his *Resilience Ride*, a cross-country ride from Washington state to Indiana on Brent’s bike. Cycling On Purpose aims to increase awareness around youth mental health issues, provide advocacy for responsible device usage and regulations, and raise money for research. With community support, Cycling On Purpose will continue to grow, driven by its mission to inspire and connect young people in meaningful ways.
