5th Annual Clark Perkins Memorial Run Campaign

Fountain Fire Company No 1 is thrilled to launch 5th Annual Clark Perkins Memorial Run Campaign. Join Clark’s family, friends, lacrosse teammates, fellow Marines, and Firefighters around the world in the celebration of the life of 1st Lieutenant Clark Perkins. From August 30th - November 14th, 2025 participate by creating fitness and fundraising challenges like running, walking, biking, or swimming with other participants across the globe and support the Hamilton Fire Department and the Clark Perkins Memorial Scholarship fund.

On October 4 (at 12:30), we will hold our in-person 5k at Andy Kerr Stadium in Hamilton, NY, where we will offer our thanks to our supporters and present a short video compilation of the photos uploaded by the participants from across the globe and include thank-you videos from Clark's family and close friends. We will complete the event with a 5k run (please arrive at Andy Kerr by @12:30) led by the Colgate Men’s Lacrosse team that will conclude at Andy Kerr Stadium.

The Hamilton Fire Department is ISO Class 3, all-volunteer municipal department located in central New York State approximately 35 miles southeast of the city of Syracuse. The 2016 population of the village was 4100+, encompassing an area of approximately 2.5 miles. The Village of Hamilton is home to Colgate University. The Hamilton Fire Department provides fire/rescue and emergency medical services in the village of Hamilton to, developments such as Hamilton Community Memorial Hospital, Hamilton Municipal Airport, Hamilton Central School as well as Colgate University. Our mission is ensuring safety, serving community: Hamilton Fire Department - ISO Class 3. 35 miles southeast of Syracuse, our all-volunteer force of 50 ensures safety across 27 square miles, from Colgate University to Hamilton Municipal Airport, with commitment and dedication at the heart of our service.

We hope to honor the memory of Clark Perkins, who had such a huge and lasting impact on those who were fortunate enough to meet him. We would also like to increase awareness of this event to share Clark’s story with a greater number of people. Some people may even feel inspired by Clark the support the Clark Perkins Memorial Scholarship and the Hamilton Volunteer Fire Department.
